The Queen of the North Returns to the Border

Ora Bar visits the North.

Ora Bar, the Israeli-Canadian advocate known for her fearless voice, has once again returned to Israel’s northern border.

For many, the border is a military line. For Ora, it is personal. She is not a tourist arriving to perform solidarity for a camera. She is native to the region, shaped by its pain, its beauty, and its endless tension. Her presence there carries a different weight because she is not speaking about the North from a distance. She is returning to a place that is part of her story.

Ora Bar is a Concordia University graduate, an Israeli-Canadian advocate, bridge-builder, and storyteller. Since October 7, she has become one of the clearest young voices explaining Jewish and Israeli reality to audiences in Canada and beyond. CIJA describes her as someone who has met national leaders and shared the Jewish and Israeli experience across major French and English media, including CBC, Global News, Radio-Canada, and Le Monde. Her work came from the pressure of history, antisemitism, war, and the need to speak when silence became impossible. As a recent Concordia graduate and Campus Media Fellow with HonestReporting Canada , Ora has written and spoken about the atmosphere Jewish students faced after October 7. Honest Reporting Canada

This latest visit to the northern border is worth noting because it is not the first time she has been there. Ora has already stood with the North before. She has already sent a message of coexistence from the edge of conflict, back when Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed, armed & funded terror proxy in Lebanon, launched its offensive against the Jewish state of Israel in 2024. Reuters described Hezbollah in 2024 as a heavily armed, Iran-backed terror group, and Israel said its operations in Lebanon were aimed at securing the return of tens of thousands of Israelis evacuated from the North because of cross-border rocket attacks. That is why this return matters.

Her message is already loud: the North belongs to life, not terror. The border should not be a playground for Iranian proxies. It should not be a hostage zone for families, farmers, children, and communities who only want to live in peace.

Ora’s presence there is a reminder that coexistence is not weakness.

Coexistence is defiance.

It is the refusal to let Hezbollah, Iran, or any ideology of death decide the future of the region.

She stands there as someone from the region who understands that the people of the North deserve security, and peace.

And when the Queen of the North returns to the border, the message is simple:

The North is alive.

The Jewish state is alive.

And coexistence will outlive terror.
