Zorchinsky is furious.
After Omar Alghabra was assigned to a committee meant to fight antisemitism, she erupted. She called the decision a national disgrace, a political insult, and a direct slap in the face to Jewish Canadians.
For her, the appointment sends a clear message.
Canada’s political class has stopped listening.
“We’re all living in a bad dream,” Zorchinsky said. “This committee itself is the root cause of Jew hatred. No need to look any further.”
Her anger is raw. Her patience is gone. She sees the assignment as another example of Jewish Canadians being told they are protected while being publicly humiliated by the people in power.
“This is gaslighting,” she said. “They tell Jews they care, then they make decisions that prove the opposite.”
Zorchinsky’s fury intensified after commentator Leviathan described the announcement as “an absolute gaslight to Jewish Canadians,” saying it felt like Jews were being kicked while they were already down.
She agreed completely.
To Zorchinsky, this committee has already failed. A serious effort to fight antisemitism should begin with trust. This appointment shattered that trust before the committee even started.
She also took aim at MP Salma Zahid, saying she was “surprised” Zahid was too busy to join. The remark carried the full weight of her disgust.
For Zorchinsky, the deeper danger is Canada’s direction. She believes antisemitism is being wrapped in official language, softened by committee names, and protected by political theatre.
“This is how it gets worse,” she warned. “First they insult Jews. Then they ask Jews to applaud the insult.”
Her message was clear: Jewish Canadians are tired of polished speeches, fake concern, and public officials who treat their fear like a branding opportunity.
“This is a huge sign that things are about to get much worse in Canada, for everyone,” she said.
Zorchinsky wants people to understand the seriousness of this moment.
She is done being polite.
She is done pretending this is normal.
She is done watching institutions create the wound, then claim they are the cure.
